Original Imperial German WWI Army Officer Sword with Lion Head Pommel British Artwork & Posters It has a standard 39"Original Item: Only One Available. A fine WW1 German Army Officer's Sword fitted with Lion's Head pommel. Single bow knuckle guard and leather grip bound in plaited wire. The high polished nickel plated blade actually bears maker's markings by under the "langettes" directly in front of the cross guard making identification very difficult. The grip's back strap is beautifully molded culminating in a dramatic Lion's Head on the pommel. This sword was
