2018 Masseto dell Ornellaia Montalcino A wine of outstanding fullnessFallstaf 97 points: Rich, deep dark ruby with a fine violet shimmer. Intense and dense nose, opens with notes of cold smoke, then lots of dark currant, blackberry and graphite. Full bodied and dense in the mouth and throughout, opens with densely woven tannins, fine spice, appears very compact, with slightly earthy components in the finish. Galloni 98 points Paker Larner 96+ points: The 2020 Masseto now sees new DNA with a touch of Cabernet Franc
