Connoisseurs appreciate the smooth single malts of the distillery, which is one of the few in Scotland to still operate its own malt floors. Balvenie also produces smoky whisky rather untypically for the Scottish Speyside. The 14 year old Balvenie American Bourbon Barrel is one of two bottlings in the new Curious Cask Collection series,
